The Latin parish in Aleppo celebrated on Saturday, November 2, 2024, the divine liturgy presided over by His Excellency Bishop Hanna Jallouf. This was in honour of the commemoration of all the faithful departed at the Latin Cemetery Church.
Immediately after the liturgy, the fathers participated in the sprinkling of holy water on the graves, the incensation, and the prayers for the repose of the souls of the faithful departed, offering condolences to their families.
The remembrance of the departed leads us to unity in prayer with our holy Church for all our loved ones and friends who have passed on to the second life.
We reflect on the reality of existence to reaffirm our steadfast faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, who has conquered death and said to us: “I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in me, even if he dies, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die.” (John 11:25-26).
We also ask that you grant all our loved ones who have passed on to you, in the name of Jesus Christ and your Holy Spirit, the grace to be with you today in paradise…
