Saint Joseph’s Parish – Al-Qunaya
Location: Idlib – Jisr al-Shughur – Al-Qunaya
Parish Priest: Father Khukaz Mesrob since 2023
All services, activities, and assistance mentioned below are provided to the residents of the three villages together (Al-Qunaya, Al-Yaqoubiyeh, and Al-Jdayde).
Parish services include:
- Anthony’s School for children aged 4 to 17
- Youth sports centre
- Summer pastoral club for families
- Summer activities and courses for women and young girls
- Vocational training centre for children and youth
Pastoral activities include:
- Family brotherhood for the Holy Gospel
- Francis Scouts
- Francis youth brotherhood
Social services include:
- Financial aid provided to needy members of the Latin parish
- Aid for people with special needs from all Christian denominations
- Medical assistance for all Christian denominations
- Scholarly aid for parishioners
- Social assistance for the needy
Non-fixed project:
- Renovation of houses damaged by the earthquake
- Support for micro credits’ projects
- Support and assistance for displaced families returning to the villages
